Cloture Vote on Immigration Bill Passes…

THE GREAT  BETRAYAL..Leaders of the Great Betrayal

Sen. Edward M. Kennedy:  “A major step forward for our national security, for our economy, and for our humanity.”  “We did the right thing today because we know the American people sent us here to act on our most urgent problems. We know they will not stand for small political factions getting in the way.”

President George W. Bush:  “Amnesty means that you’ve got to pay a price for having being here illegally and this bill does that.  But it also recognizes in our nation’s interest to bring people out of the shadows, there’s got to be a way forward that recognizes there is a penalty for being here illegally, on the other hand, that recognizes that each person has worth and dignity.” Tony Snow: “Earlier today, in speaking about comprehensive immigration reform, President Bush misspoke, this has been construed as an assertion that the comprehensive immigration reform legislation before the Senate offers amnesty to immigrants who came here illegally,” he said. “That is the exact opposite of the president’s long-held and often-stated position.”        source: Fox News

The vote was 64 Yea / 35 Nay… Amnesty senators needed 60 votes for the Bill to pass and they got it.  What a betrayal, how can 64 senators disregard and turn their backs on 88% of Americans?  Let me put it this way, only 22% of Americans wanted the senators to pass this Bill, 22%!  Since the Congress on Criminal Hill won’t deport illegals, but instead give them citizenship, we’ll just deport the amnesty senators come next election!  Can you sense a change is coming?

Check out how your senator voted on cloture.

More importantly, remember those who voted Yea for Amnesty come ’08…
